Privacy Policy — "STEP: Recurring Questions"

- The app does not require an account and does not collect your name, email, phone number or location.
- Your practice progress is stored only on your device.
- When you report a problem with a question (🚩 button), the app sends: the question ID, the pattern ID, the report type and the reason you chose, the app version, and the ID of the latest content update. When you rate a practice set with 👍 or 👎, the app sends the rating with the practice mode, the pattern ID, the app version and the update ID. None of this includes your name or other personal data, and it is used only to improve the content.
- If the app hits an error, it may automatically send an error report containing the error message, the screen where it happened, the question ID (if any), the app version and the ID of the latest content update. The report contains no name or other personal data, is sent through the same Netlify form as question reports, and is used only to fix errors.
- The feedback form on our website is optional and stores only what you type or select (rating, comments, and your phone model if you enter it). Please do not enter personal data in it.
- Reports, ratings and feedback are stored with Netlify, which hosts our website. Like any web server, Netlify sees your device's IP address and general technical details of the request (such as the operating system) and may store them with the submission. We do not use them to identify you and do not share them.
- When the app opens on Android, it fetches a small file (versions.json) from our website to check whether a newer version is on Google Play. This request sends no data about you, but the server sees your IP address like any internet request.
- Explainer videos are played in the app with YouTube's embedded player, and their thumbnails load from YouTube's servers. When you play a video, Google may collect data such as your IP address, device information and viewing activity under the Google Privacy Policy; we do not receive this data.
- Subscriptions are processed by Google Play or the App Store; the app never sees your card details.
- We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. It receives a random app user ID and your purchase history only, to check whether your subscription is active. This data is not used for advertising and is never sold.
- The app may contact Expo servers to download content updates (new questions). These requests send only the app version, the operating system and a random installation ID, with no personal data.
- The app contains no ads or advertising trackers.
- You can request deletion of purchase data linked to the random ID by emailing us. Uninstalling the app deletes all data stored on the device.
